Description
Poster-size print of First Street & San Carlos Streets, San Jose, looking north towards Bank of Italy building, and crowded with vehicles. Ste. Claire Drugs sign and State Theatre sign ("It Happened on 5th Avenue" and "Stairway to Heaven") are prominent on the left side of the street, Fox Mission Theatre on the right, where "Married Woman" and "Dust Be My Destiny" are advertised. Other businesses: The Alpine (with Coca Cola sign), Buster Brown Shoes, Surety, San Jose Kiddie Shop, J. S. Williams, Hotel California, Hotel Montgomery, Padre Theater, First National Bank, Blums, Kress, Lee Shoes, Lenox Hotel, Coast Radio, Norris' Silk, Anthony's Shoe Rebuilding, Newberry's 5-10-25 cent store. A Palomar Ballroom truck advertising KEEN Radio and Marguerite Valdez is parked outside Sainte Claire Drugs.
