Photograph article dated December 6, 1949 partially reads, "Three armed bandits, who robbed a Burbank liquor store of $185, were being sought today. Harold W. Palmer, 40, and his wife Agnes, were in their store at 533 S. Victory Blvd. late last night, they told police, when the three men entered, ordered whisky, then pulled their guns. One of them guarded Mrs. Palmer in a rear room, one stood lookout at the front door and the third took the cash and two bottles of liquor before they escaped in an old model coupe." Photograph caption reads, "Holdup victim - Robert E. Mahan, liquor truck driver, tells Officer J. W. Dougherty of Valley Division of $6000 hijacking of load and kidnaping by two men."
