The two groups have engaged a professional auctioneer, Walter Palmer, to offer their livestock projects, according to Grant Neilson, of the Van Nuys Future Farmers group. Forty cattle, 120 lambs and 10 hogs will be auctioned at the 8 p.m. sale. The proceeds will be given to the youth to help meet their costs of raising the livestock."
