Photograph of Dixie "Dick" W. Thompson, a rider from Santa Barbara, at the La Fiesta Parade, ca.1901. The rider is pictured aside his horse in a bolero suit and tall hat. Spectators are visible behind him on the sidewalk in front of a picket fence. Automobiles can be seen parked along the unpaved street in the left background. The rider has a short cropped beard and appears to be past middle-age. Picture file card reads "Solid silver sad[d]le bought by Mack Adou.".
