Description
Photograph of the external view of adobe house on 721 Castelar Street, on the west side between Ord Street and Alpine Street, Los Angeles, 1895. The façade of this single-story house shows two doors and two windows. Above the doors are the house numbers: "721" and "723". In the lower part of the house the stucco is peeling from the worn and chipped adobe bricks. The tip of the shingled roof is covered in vines. At left, there is a wooden fence. Other houses are visible in the distance beyond the fence. The dirt road is littered with debris, rocks and tracks.
