Photograph caption date stamped February 28, 1957 reads, "Former Van Nuys High School football star Gordon F. Hjelmstrom, 18, right, is shown with James Ammerman, 27, left, and Edward Wood, 20, as they appeared in Van Nuys Municipal Court today for preliminary hearing on suspicion of robbery. Case was continued until March 7 by Judge Ernestine Stahlhut to enable two of defendants to obtain attorneys."
