Description
Letty Cottin Pogrebin discusses her book, “Among Friends.” She begins by explaining how important it is to have friends at work, friends at school, and both male and female friends. She talks about her own personal problems with friends, and how she needs to improve on consoling people when they or their family members are sick. She talks about how friends gossip, share misery, and discuss their problems. She stresses the importance of keeping in contact with old friends, as well as meeting new ones. Pogrebin ends the interview by discussing how her young daughters are making male friends, and how society is beginning to nurture platonic friendships between males and females.
