Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on August 11, 1949 states: "Plans to remove this oak tree from a Gridley intersection have brought the protest the tree in reality constitutes a warning as the street turns sharply just beyond it. This picture was taken in Winter and was designed to show the symmetrical branches of the huge tree."
