Description
This ceramic column was photographed in 1918. It was created by the Gladding, McBean Company, located at 601 Seventh St. in Lincoln, California. Founded in 1875 by Peter McGill McBean, George Chambers and Charles Gladding, the company offered terra cotta creations born out of Lincoln's unique ""potter's clay,"&quot. Their work can be found in architecture throughout Sacramento and the state of California.
