Photograph caption dated July 23, 1964 reads, "Valley Times space writer Jim Cowan, right, gets the lowdown on what is happening high up from Edward Stodel, International Telephone and Telegraph Company's West Coast Director of Public Relations. Cowan's column, 'Space Scene,' started yesterday in the Valley Times. It will report the news and views of space industries in the San Fernando Valley."
