Photograph caption dated March 9, 1962 reads, "Howard tries mitt on for size. Big Frank to tend first regularly says Bavasi." Photograph article partially reads, "General Manager E. J. (Buzzie) Bavasi, insists Frank Howard has the best chance of playing first base for the Los Angeles Dodgers this year. 'I'd have to say right now that Howard should play every day,' said Bavasi, 'and he should play first base because we have plenty of talent in the outfield.' He'll be at first tomorrow when the Dodgers open their exhibition season against Kansas City."
