Description
Note: Als Nr. 74 publiziert im Album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', Neuenburg 1895.
Note translation: Published as no 74 in the album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer' (= 'Eighty pictures of the Gold Coast (West Africa) by the missionary Fritz Ramseyer'), Neuchâtel 1895. - Caption there: "The main street of Agogo. We had to suffer as prisoners in shackles for three weeks in Agogo in 1869. Our little child died three days after leaving Agogo, so this is a town of sad memories for us. A year ago, however, we had the joy of being able to send a catechist to live there."
