Many people attended the opening day of the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Railroad between Los Angeles and Pasadena. View shows the large pavilion erected on the central school park. The pavilion was built of rough lumber open on all sides and covered with freshly cuty cypress bough. Tables were erected under the pavilion for the dinner celebration held in Pasadena for the L.A. & S.G.V. Railroad's arrival of the first Santa Fe, September 16, 1885.
