Description
Three Contra soldiers walk along a road near the border between Honduras and Nicaragua. They are all wearing olive green colored caps. The Contra to the left is holding an FN FAL assault rifle and the other two Contras are holding Kalashnikov-type rifles. The soldier in the middle is also holding a machete in his left hand and wearing a cross on his chest. They are all members of the NIcaraguan Democratic Force (FDN in Spanish), whose members are informally known as "Contras." Tres soldados contra caminan sobre una carretera cerca de la frontera entre Honduras y Nicaragua. Ellos portan cachuchas de color verde olivo. El contra a la izquierda sostiene un fusil FN FAL de origen belga y los otros dos contras sostienen armas estilo Kalashnikov. El contra en medio también sostiene un machete en su mano izquierda y porta una cruz sobre su pecho. Todos ellos son miembros de la Fuerza Demócratica Nicaragüense (FDN), cuyos miembros son conocidos informalmente como la contra.
