Retouched photograph of the facade of the Printing Center Building during construction, 417 East Pico Street, Los Angeles, ca.1926. Streetscape. Horizontal photography. Additional information: Lloyd and Casler built the three buildings on Pico between Maple and Wall, all of which are still extant. The featured one is the tallest of the three. All three were built between 1923-1926. The current address of this building is 1220 Maple Avenue, Los Angeles (as of March 2018). In July 6, 1931, the Los Angeles Times published an article by Alma Whitaker dedicated to Florence Casler -- "Woman Makes Buildings Pay. Contractor with feminine charms".
