Photograph caption dated November 20, 1955 reads, "Construction of the new Valley County Building is a significant acknowlegement of San Fernando Valley growth. The structure, with 34,553 square feet of floor space, will include three municipal court rooms, marshal's office, probation department, county assessor's office, district attorney and traffic departments. Jury, attorney and parents' conference rooms also are included. In modern style of architecture, the building has been designed to harmonize with city and county buildings which will surround a plaza, according to the master plan of the City Planning Commission. The county building is at the south side of Van Nuys City Hall at 14401 Delano St., Van Nuys. Architects were Albert Criz and Associates, Los Angeles."
