Photograph caption date stamped December 19, 1960 reads, "Pepperdine's Ted Bridges isn't heading a conga line but coming down with a rebound in contest against Valley College for championship of first annual Pierce basketball tournament last night at Taft High School. Wave Frosh swamped Valley Monarchs, 94-80, to grab title. Monarchs' player is Jim Clemente (33)."
