Description: He [Vaugondy] says this map was taken from one of Pierre Plantius published by Visscher in 1641 and dedicated to Louis XIII. Engraved map, 36.5 x 29, issued by Robert de Vaugondy to illustrated the current views of the geography of the northwest in the supplement to Diderot's Encyclopedie. The set was also issued in a smaller form. Includes an inset.
