Award-winning actor, mime Bill Irwin was born in Santa Monica, California and one of the stars of San Francisco's Pickle Family Circus. He is noted for his Vaudeville-style stage performances and with helping to bring about a renaissance in American circus. Note on original container: "In this week's program, host Alan Farley talks with clown/mime/actor Bill Irwin, recorded during the run of his show THE REGARD OF FLIGHT, in San Francisco before its New York engagement in 1982. He talks about that show, and how it developed and was still changing in the current performances."
