This is a photograph of Yau women and a girl dressed for their photograph. "The Yau women wear knee length trousers, over which is a buttonless tunic held in place by a belt, while rude cloth leggings are tied below the knee with a piece of string. A dried banana leaf makes a really natty hat. On gala occasions the edge of the tunic is embroidered. The little girl in the pictuire is dressed partly in Chinese style. Many are abandoning the old style." The city is unknown.
