Artist's sketch of a proposed public lake in Chávez Ravine, an option in case the courts rule against the Los Angeles Dodgers' contract. This idea was proposed before the Los Angeles City Council on October 23, 1958, by Assemblyman Don Anderson, 45th District, who expressed the belief the state would lend assistance to the project, which he said would give people needed recreational facilities and help beautify the downtown section.
