Description
Joseph Wambaugh discusses his book, “Hollywood Station.” He begins by explaining that the book takes place in the present day Los Angles Police Department. The book’s plot follows the officers of Hollywood station as they deal with the obstacles of working in law enforcement in a post-Rodney King world. He goes on to discuss issues such as accusations of racial profiling, crystal methane users, identity theft, prostitution and new-age gangsters. Also in this interview, Wambuagh discusses his feelings regarding the O.J. Simpson trial and the media’s role in portraying the police department in a negative light. He ends the interview by discussing his intentions to write a sequel to “Hollywood Station.”
