New installations include two softball diamonds with one having lights and bleachers, a picnic area, an intermediate children's play area, a small children's play area, an outdoor gym, an apparatus pit and a parking lot. According to plans, the existing 20-by-26-foot fieldhouse will be replaced by a larger fieldhouse. Users of the park now also will be able to use the new 58-car parking lot. The Los Angeles City Recreation and Parks commission has declared the project completed and will officially notify the contractor, the Beverly Landscape Co., that the work has been accepted. The park has been purchased and is being developed under the city's recreation and parks bond fund."
