A wide, sandy beach is visible at right, and hundreds of bathers and umbrellas can be seen. A set of railroad tracks runs parallel to the highway at left. In the foreground at left, several small shops and other buildings can be seen. Legible signs include, from left: "Sandwiches", "Fireworks", "Soda", "Ballantynes", "Volkman's Barbecue", "Bath House", and "Rite Spot Barbecue".
