Photograph caption dated May 20, 1959 reads "Martin Pollard, right, president of Valley Presbyterian Hospital board of directors, presents certificate of appreciation to three volunteers who worked more than 500 hours at hospital. From left, Mrs. Jayson Young, 5751 Matilija, Van Nuys; Mrs. Fred Robertson, 5811 Cantaloupe Ave., Van Nuys, and Miss Nancy Blackmer, 15642 Mayall St., Sepulveda, were honored at awards banquet held as part of National Hospital Week. Looking on is Robert S. Fuller, treasurer of hospital board."
