Two boys sit at a restaurant. The boy on the left places a taco in his mouth while he looks at the other boy. Two glass bottles of Coca-cola and salt are on the table. In the back, people are outside of the restaurant on the street. The 80's were considered the "lost decade" because of Mexico's debt crisis. This was due to the falling oil prices that left Mexico without foreign currency to pay off its $80 billion debt. This in effect, increased high levels of unemployement. In 1981, 52.5 percent of households in Mexico were considered poor. Dos niños se sientan en un restaurante. El niño de la izquierda se coloca un taco en la boca mientras mira al otro chico. Sobre la mesa hay dos botellas de vidrio de coca-cola y sal. En la parte de atrás, la gente está fuera del restaurante en la calle. Entre 1983 y 1988, los años 80 fueron considerados como la "década perdida" debido a la crisis de la deuda de México.
