Description
The first Chicano theater group in the United States with children performers, Teatro de los Ninos, are performing on an indoor stage possibly at Inner City Cultural Center. There are four adults and four young males of various ages performing. Vibiana Aparicio-Chamberlin (photo donor) is fourth from the left, holding a sign that reads in big green letters,"Raza si." There are two adult males playing acoustic guitars, one young boy with a tambourine and drum stick and the rest are clapping. There is a colorful fabric banner in back of them that is hanging from ladders on both sides. The banner reads Teatro de los Niños. There is also a huge alphabet block in the background. This image was provided by Vibiana Aparicio-Chamberlin for inclusion in the Foto East LA collection. Original measurements: 35 mm color slide California Preservation Service (CAPS)
