Description
The Portland Performing Arts Center was designed in association with BOOR/A and ELS Design Group. Myers designed two theaters, the 900-seat Newmark Theatre and the 360-seat Dolores Winningstad Theater, as well as offices, ticketing area, and support spaces. The Spectral Light dome by artist James Carpenter sits above the lobby of the building. Myers also renovated and converted a 1927 theater into a 2750-seat concert hall. All of the theaters were designed to be versatile in their varied uses-- from intimate theater to large concert hall.
