Description
This circa 1895 postcard provides an image of Plaza Park, bordered by I and J streets and Ninth and Tenth streets, and as seen from the park's southwest corner. Plaza Park was one of the original 10 city blocks granted to the City of Sacramento by John Augustus Sutter in January 1849. To the right, is the Andrew Jackson Stevens statue, dedicated in 1889.
