Photograph caption dated November 10, 1960 reads, "Cluster, Van Nuys, was Kennedy's boss in World War II." The article partially reads, "What kind of president will John F. Kennedy be? An authoritative answer comes from Van Nuys, where Lt. John Kennedy's wartime commanding officer now lives with his wife and three children. Al Cluster, 6944 Columbus Ave., a Republican until this year, hailed Kennedy's victory with great personal satisfaction. The new president, in Cluster's words, is 'the most competent man I've ever met...' Cluster predicts an informal White House atmosphere, similar to the Teddy Roosevelt days. Kennedy will be an active, busy president driven by 'an unbelievable desire to do a good job,' Cluster added."
