Shows hatless young man posing (elbow on pedestal) with Confederate officer's uniform showing chevron stripes below diamond-insignia on sleeves and shoulder. Attached business card includes handwritten text, "Copy of an old picture taken 67 years ago as I was leaving Boston on my second enlistment- (Co. B. 56 Mass). 18 years old. C. S. Bond."
