Description
Entrance hall of the library on the grounds of the mansion of William A. Clark, Jr. on West Adams. It is an impressive study in marble and oak, with antique furniture and a ceiling resplendent with design and picturization suggestive of the old masters. In the library are such revered volumes as one of the three finest sets in existence of "Pickwick Papers" by Charles Dickens, and the finest known copy of Thackeray's "Vanity Fair." The library was gifted to UCLA. Architect: Robert Farquhar. Photo dated: February 17, 1927.
