Description
Photograph of feeding time at an alligator farm (possibly the California Alligator Farm, Los Angeles), ca.1900. Lush foliage from trees hangs down into the frame and a man in a button-down shirt, tie, and brimmed hat stands on the bank in the midst of the alligators, feeding them what appears to be meat from out of a bucket. There are roughly sixteen visible alligators, and this feeding time is apparently taking place after six months of hibernation for them, beginning in October and ending in April.
