Description
Kashnor notes, "A re-issue of the Sayer & Bennett map. Shows the location of the River de las Tortolas, the supposed exit of the River of the West, and Sir Francis Drake's Harbour. North of this is located George's Sound, where Cook repaired in 1778, and the country to the north is called Fou Sang, of the Chinese." This map is a later version of the Sayer & Bennett map of 1777, see 093:199M, also 105:269M for a later 1794 version. Insert map of Baffin's and Hudson's Bays. Cartouche w. alligator. Table delineating possessions of European nations now revised to include United States information Submap: The Supplement to North America containing the countries adjoining Baffins & Hudsons Bays..
