Mitchell, whom the 1955 Pasadena City Directory lists as a Caltech professor. Herschel K. Mitchell resided at 1900 North Foothill Boulevard. This image was taken on April 19, 1955, and was ordered by Jan Maddox of the Pasadena unit of the American Cancer Society (180 South Euclid Avenue).
