Documentation provided by the photographer indicates that one of these men is Dr. Mitchell, and the other two men are scientists. They are in room 212 in the William G. Kerckhoff Laboratories of the Biological Sciences building on the campus of Cal Tech. This Dr. Mitchell is possibly Herschel K. Mitchell, whom the 1955 Pasadena City Directory lists as a Caltech professor. Herschel K. Mitchell resided at 1900 North Foothill Boulevard. This image was taken on April 19, 1955, and was ordered by Jan Maddox of the Pasadena unit of the American Cancer Society (180 South Euclid Avenue).
