Description
Full length studio portrait. On verso: "for Hattie from Sydney & Maggie, Dec 1883". "Sir Sidney and Lady Waterlow with whom Mamma went around the world. M.W." In pencil: "Lord & Lady Dufferin went around the world with Mr. & Mrs. Alexander". Photographer's mark on verso in pink with birds, oriental lettering, "photograph, Inetsukioku" at base of mark.

Margaret Hamilton, daughter of William Hamilton of Napa County, was second wife of Sir Sidney Waterlow. Married in 1882.
