Built in the Mission style, the church is painted cream-color with a blue trim and a brown roof; a tower and cupola rest on the upper right corner. On August 28, 1963, members of the Guardian Angel parish purchased the 1924 building located at 1118 N. Commonwealth Ave., its current property.
