Description
Point Fermin Park is a 37-acre scenic park overlooking the ocean in the San Pedro harbor area. This is a view of its open-air theater. During the summer, just about every local organization has an event here; from the Pacific Islander associations, to the Harry Bridges Institute's annual picnic. The stage has a half-dome structure with two arched doors at the back. A mural at the top shows two dolphins swimming side-by-side. The theater has a large seating capacity, with four sections of benches approximately 13 rows deep. Point Fermin Park is located at 807 Paseo Del Mar, which is also the site of the Point Fermin Lighthouse. Photograph dated October 2000.
