Description
"Kaffern in Beschneidungstracht" ("Kaffirs with circumcision costumes"). Two people are standing, wearing masks (maybe made of straw), short skirts (possibly made of straw) and long necklaces. Their upper arms, wrists, legs and ankles are robed with adornments. They are leaning their arms on adorned sticks.
An initiation costume like those in the photograph is part of the collection of the "Völkerkundemuseum Herrnhut".
