Photograph caption reads: "UC Davis crew member uses bicycle power to return vehicle parts to pit area after mishap during first lap of race". "West coast colleges compete. When an entry from UC Davis went down on the first of a 40-lap HPV race, a Davis team member retrieved the top fairing and returned it to their pit area. Cal Poly SLO's entry, Nitemare, rolls by (background) on the race course at Cal State Northridge". Photograph dated: April 23, 1989.
