Photograph dated August 9, 1988 shows 13-year-old Dilton Tan, a junior high student, competing in the dumb drum race of the 1988 Los Angeles Clean Sweep Games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. He is among 300 participants in the Clean and Green program of the Los Angeles Conservation Corps that began in July. Ten local winners will travel to Philadelphia to compete in the National Clean Sweep Games.
