Photograph caption dated April 24, 1965 reads, "The stately ritual of the Eastern Orthodox Church is typified by this scene at St. Innocent Eastern Orthodox Church, 5501 Newcastle Ave., Encino, during Good Friday processional of the 'Epitaphion.' The service represents the taking down of Christ's body from the Cross and laying it in a borrowed tomb. Participating in the ceremony are, clockwise, Michael Korotkoff, Woodland Hills; Nicholas Geeza, Encino, Joseph Fester, Sherman Oaks; George Vag, North Hollywood with Rev. Sergei Glagolev, pastor of the church."
