Description
A young girl watches as Melvin McCartney removes the 1950 Lancaster Library dedication plaque from it's place beside the library entrance. A National Library Week advertisement can be seen in the background, ""Reading is the key to understanding, National Library Week, April 12-18, 1964. The Library was relocated that year to a new location on Kingtree Avenue and Avenue J. On back of photo: ""#27199, 1964, Lancaster Library"". The Lancaster Library was also known as the Antelope Valley Regional Library.
