Photograph caption dated October 5, 1957 reads, "World of darkness brightened by job - Mrs. Juanita Friend, of 6944 Varna Ave., Van Nuys, stands by as X-ray films are checked by Dr. G. M. Campion, department of radiology director at Burbank's St. Joseph Hospital. She is partially blind and has only little vision remaining in one eye.
