Photograph caption dated October 30, 1953 reads, "Volunteer workers are building the parsonage for the First Methodist Church, at Harding street and Glenoaks boulevard, San Fernando. Members of the board of trustees who are assisting in new project include Don McVicker, M. O. Nelson, A. J. Rosenlieb, Bryce Schurr, Arthur Gates and Rev. L. E. Warren. Methodist group recently sold cobble-stone church at Third and Maclay and will build new church, parsonage and recreation building."
