Opened on June 10, 1938, by the Hollywood Turf Club, Hollywood Park was renamed Betfair Hollywood Park on March 13, 2012. It was a thoroughbred and standardbred race course. The racetrack was closed after the final race on December 22, 2013.
Photograph caption dated June 24, 1960 reads "Mr. and Mrs. Steve Elmore's Henrijan, running in peak form, should be a definite threat in the $50,000 added Cinema Handicap tomorrow at Hollywood Park. This stakes race brings out some of the best 3-year-olds on the grounds. Angel Valenzuela, shown aboard, will pilot Henrijan, who was second in the Argonaut Stakes." Hollywood Park is in Inglewood.
