Description
At the end of the spectacular Armistice Day parade, an impressive ceremony was held at City Hall at which Edwin Pauley, special assistant to the Secretary of the Army, returned the battle flags of the Thirteenth Armored and 40 other distinguished units. Photo shows the veterans receiving the colors. "This means that some 90,000 and 10,000 officers in California and Arizona are going to keep themselves ready at all times," Pauley told crowd. Photo dated: November 12, 1947.
