Photograph caption dated September 7, 1961 reads "Vern Baker, 1960 National Midget Racing Association (three-quarter midgets) champion, drives past John Starner who has flipped in a heat race at the Agoura Speedway which holds its first night racing program tonight at the Cornell Corners track. Starner came out this flip o.k. and with Baker will be racing in Johnny Parsons' midget shows which formerly were run on Sundays."
