Shown with the award winners is Dr. Joseph Brandt, professor of journalism at UCLA. Miss Scott, first woman to become a departmental chairman at UCLA, is the author of several scientific works. Mrs. White is the author of poetry books, her latest being a publication called 'Magellan.'" The awards banquet was held at Bit of Sweden restaurant located at 9051 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.
