Description
The grave monument of George C. Yount (1794-1865), which is located in the Pioneer Graveyard on Jackson Street in Yountville, Napa County. In 1836, Yount was the first American citizen to obtain a land grant from the Spanish government, the Caymus Rancho. He was a veteran of the War of 1812. Yountville is named after him.
